Joseph B. Strauss, D.C., F.C.S.C. graduated from Columbia Institute of Chiropractic (now New York Chiropractic College) in 1967. Dr. Strauss was a professor at Pennsylvania College of Straight Chiropractic where he taught from 1978 to 1994. He has served as Editor of The Pivot Review, a chiropractic philosophical publication, since 1983.
Dr. Strauss has written and published eighteen books: The Journey, an inspiring novel about one man’s struggle to serve humanity in the healing arts and his chance encounter with D.D. Palmer; Chiropractic Philosophy; The Pivot Review: 1984-1991, a compilation of selected articles from The Pivot Review; Case Management for Straight Chiropractors; Refined by Fire: the Evolution of Straight Chiropractic; Higher Ground; Enhance Your Life Experience; Practice Building for Straight Chiropractors; Reggie: Making the Message Simple, a biography of Reggie Gold; The Pivot Review: 1992-1997; The Green Book Commentaries (7) and Still Higher Ground.
In 1992 Dr. Strauss was elected a Fellow of the College of Straight Chiropractic. He has lectured throughout the United States and overseas in Japan, New Zealand, and England on the subject of straight chiropractic. He resides with his wife, Iris, in Levittown, Pennsylvania, where he has maintained a large private practice for over 41 years.
